PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
As a part of the project design team, ACSI was selected to design all of the facility's low-voltage, life-safety, audio/visual, communications and security systems. The seven story federal facility contains about 258,000 square feet at a cost of $61M. Included within this space are three District courts, three Magistrate courts and offices for pretrial services, the US Marshal’s Service, the US Attorney, the US Trustee and the local congressional delegation. ACSI's RESPONSIBILITIES: Systems under ACSI’s responsibility included facility fire alarm, perimeter security, courtroom security, voice/data communications, courtroom sound, courtroom evidence presentation, audio and video conferencing, courtroom signaling, and television distribution. All of these systems were designed in accordance with criteria established by the Administrative Office of the Courts and local court officials. This facility has won numerous awards for its design including national ones for its unique architecture. |
