Microsoft Corporation Briefing Centers

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
When the Microsoft Corporation decided to create an international network of corporate briefing centers and other technology demonstration spaces, ACSI was commissioned as the systems designer and project manager. Twelve (12) centers were constructed, including an international prototype in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, which will be standardized and recreated in a variety of international locations.
Each center provides Microsoft’s marketing and sales executives with fingertip access to Microsoft’s worldwide network, as well as to a variety of presentation, demonstration, and teaching tools. These include pre-programmed electroluminescent touch panel controllers for lighting acoustic reinforcement, audio and video source selection and state-of-the-art video and data projection capabilities. Networked resources include satellite downlink communications, a local network of demonstration file and video servers, and all internetworked routing capabilities sufficient to provide access to shared materials from other centers and from the corporate headquarters in Redmond, WA. ACSI’s RESPONSIBILITIES:
ACSI’s scope of services included the design of the video rear-screen presentation systems, their associated audio/sound reinforcement, computer graphics demonstration system, video teleconferencing system, touchscreen environmental and presentation control system, satellite downlink system, local and wide area network equipment and configuration (LAN and WAN), file and video server deployment, and software installation and testing.
Included in ACSI’s scope of work was the construction management of each of these facilities which were located in Boston, Cupertino, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New Jersey, New York, Oakbrook, Philadelphia and Phoenix.
These state of the art facilities provide a full suite of capabilities for demonstrating a multiplicity of video, multimedia, and computer software to Microsoft’s clients and prospects.
