Port of Tacoma OGT Round 7 Project
Emergency Broadcasting
Tacoma, WA

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Port was seeking to master plan, design and install the first phase of a Port-wide emergency announcement system. This system covered the entire port facility of 3.75 sq miles as well as interconnect with local, regional, state and federal emergency management agencies.
ACSI's RESPONSIBILITIES:
ACSI was selected as a part of a team to identify and study the functional and technical communications requirements for the project, make system capability and configuration recommendations, and identify potential system costs. Thereafter, ACSI's focus will shift the initial system design phase and follow on to construction administration services. Given the broad range of electronic communications system types that will likely be simultaneously implemented, this project was well suited to ACSI and its broad communications systems planning and design experience.
